The cost of your insurance will depend on the total value of the jewellery you are wanting to insure.

You can receive an instant quote through the Simon Curwood Care app or by giving Centrestone a call on 1300 356 680

Applying for cover with Simon Curwood Care is very quick and easy to do!

You can apply for a policy or receive an instant quote through the Simon Curwood Care app.

Through the app, you will be able to upload the photos of your items and answer the required security questions to complete your application.

Simon Curwood Jewellers will provide you with the current Recommended Retail price (RRP) of your item through your app. This is the amount that we are required to insure your item for so that in the event of claim for total loss, your item can be replaced like-for-like. If you do not agree with the RRP provided by Simon Curwood Jewellers, you can discuss with them to see if the value can be adjusted.

Applying for jewellery insurance with Simon Curwood Care is quick and easy to do!

All you need to do is download the Simon Curwood Care app and then the items you have purchased from Simon Curwood Jewellers will appear in the app.

Follow the prompts to insure your item and you can have cover in place in minutes.

Yes! You can take out a policy for a ring you plan on giving your partner.

You can choose to add your partner’s name to the policy at a later date allowing them to call or email to make changes to the policy.

You will need to disclose all jewellery insurance claims that have occurred in the past 3 years as part of your Duty of Disclosure. You can still apply for coverage despite a previous claim, however Simon Curwood Care powered by Centrestone Insurance reserves the right to decline coverage depending on your claims history.

The insured value is determined by the RRP provided by Simon Curwood Jewellers. If you would like to adjust the insured value, you can speak with Simon Curwood Jewellers to confirm the RRP or give Centrestone a call on 1300 356 680 and we may be able to assist you.

It is possible to pay your premium as an annual payment or in monthly instalments, however it does work out cheaper to pay for the policy as a single annual premium.

You can receive an instant quote to insure your jewellery through the Simon Curwood Care app.

When you make a jewellery purchase through Simon Curwood Jewellers, your jewellery item will then show on your account in the Simon Curwood Care App.

Once your item appears in your Simon Curwood Care app, you will be able to activate your insurance

Simon Curwood Care understands that your jewellery is unique and every piece of jewellery is sentimental.

To ensure you have peace of mind, in the event of claim Simon Curwood Jewellers repair your item back to its original condition in the event of damage claim, or will make you a replacement as close as possible to your originally insured item. This gives you peace of mind that you are getting the same craftsmanship and quality back as when you originally purchased the item.

Simon Curwood Care offers cover for personal jewellery items including:
Rings,  Bangles,  Bracelets,  Brooches,  Earrings, Loose Stones, Watches, Necklaces and Pendants.

Simon Curwood Care does not offer cover for personal jewellery items which are:
– Significantly modified such as modified men’s watches
– Mens chains, Mens Bracelets and Mens Earrings
– Have an insured value of less than $500

Once we have received the photos and documents required to set up a policy one of our team members will contact you within 30 minutes in business hours to process your policy for you.

Once the premium has been paid your coverage is in place instantly.

We have one standard policy which is for 12 months cover. Simon Curwood Care has an automatic renewal system, so when your policy comes up for renewal in 12 months’ time the policy will auto renew on the card details on file so that you can have continued coverage for your item. If you do not want to your cover to renew, you need to contact us at simoncurwoodcare@centrestone.com.au or call us on 1300 356 680 to let us know prior to the renewal date.

If you cancel within the first 14 days, you are eligible for a full refund under part of the 14-day cooling-off period

It is possible to cancel your Simon Curwood care policy at any time.

If you have paid your premium as an annual payment you will receive a pro-rata refund for the days remaining in your policy minus a 10% cancellation fee. If you have paid your premium in monthly instalments you will not receive a refund for any instalments already paid.

Your Simon Curwood care policy provides you with 12 months of comprehensive cover for your jewellery. Approximately 4 weeks prior to the renewal date of your policy you will receive your renewal notice to your email listed on your Simon Curwood care account.

We understand that life is busy, and it can be hard to keep on top of your expenses. To ensure you have continued protection of your jewellery your Centrestone Policy will automatically renew after 12 months on the nominated card on file. If you do not want to your cover to renew, you need to contact us at simoncurwoodcare@centrestone.com.au or call us on 1300 356 680 to let us know prior to the renewal date.

The insured value of your jewellery item/s is equal to the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of your item/s. If the RRP of your item increases in subsequent years, the premium will adjust accordingly to match the new insured value.

If your insured value remains the same, the premium at renewal will not change.

We understand that losing your precious jewellery can be an extremely upsetting and stressful time, which is why we have kept our claims process and simple and quick as possible.

If your insured item has been accidently damaged, lost or stolen please contact the claims department as soon as possible either via claims@centrestone.com.au or you can call us on 1300 356 680.

We can then register your claim in our system and advise you of what documents you will need to provide for your claim to be submitted to our underwriter.

If the claim is approved, we will then arrange repair or replacement of your jewellery with Simon Curwood Jewellers. All claims are settled directly with your jeweller and we do not offer cash payouts or reimbursements for claimed items.

Having your jewellery lost or stolen is stressful and upsetting, so we don’t want to rub salt in the wound. There is no excess fee to make a claim with Simon Curwood Care.

Simon Curwood Care policy is a comprehensive jewellery insurance policy, however there are some exclusions you need to know about.

Here are some scenarios where your items will not be covered under the Simon Curwood Care policy:
◦ Cleaning and renovation
◦ Confiscation
◦ Cyber risks
◦ Dishonest or intentional acts
◦ Existing damage
◦ Gradual deterioration, breakdown, wear and tear
◦ Misappropriation – intentional theft, loss or damage caused by an insured person is not covered.
◦ Mould
◦ Nuclear hazard, radioactive, chemical or biological contamination
◦ War, terrorism or similar risks

You can update your personal information through your Simon Curwood Care app

Your policy documents were emailed to your listed email when your policy was incepted. If you would like us to send you your policy documents again, simply let us know via email at simoncurwoodcare@centrestone.com.au or by calling us on 1300 356 680.

We understand that life is busy, and it can be hard to keep on top of your expenses. If you miss a monthly payment, you will receive an email notification and our system will try and debit the premium the following day.

If the overdue payment is not received within 1 month of its scheduled date, we will be required to cancel the policy.

You can update your payment details by emailing our friendly team at simoncurwoodcare@centrestone.com.au or by giving us a call on 1300 356 680.

Your Simon Curwood Care policy will automatically renew on your card on file on the renewal date of your policy. If you would like to update your card details or pay your renewal early, you can renew your policy via the link in your renewal notice or by contacting our friendly team at simoncurwoodcare@centrestone.com.au or by giving us a call on 1300 356 680.

If your coverage has lapsed it is still possible to renew your policy, however, you will not be covered during the lapsed period.

The Simon Curwood Care policy provides you with 12 months worldwide coverage with no limits to the length of time spent overseas during the policy period.

This means if you move outside of Australia you would still be fully covered during your policy period.

However, if you are unable to provide an Australian residential address at the time of your policy renewal, we will not be able to offer you future coverage for your jewellery and you will need to seek local cover in your new home country.

It is possible to cancel your Simon Curwood Care policy at any time.
