No Excess Fee

The Best Jewellery Insurance Policy at the Best Price

Diamonds Falling

No Excess Fee when you claim for your jewellery

What does this mean?

When you are forced to make a claim on your jewellery, it can be quite a stressful time. That’s why at Centrestone Jewellery Insurance we have No Excess Fee payable in the event of a claim.

Opting for a higher excess level on your cover may reduce the price of your premium. But what is insurance excess and when does it apply?

What is insurance excess?

It is an agreed amount that you pay at the start of any claim you make.

Centrestone Jewellery Insurance charges no excess fee in the event of a claim. That’s right, none. Let’s say you insured your jewellery through your home and contents insurance. Not only will you be forced to pay an agreed excess fee, but also find that your jewellery claim will be capped to generally between $1500 and $3,500 depending on the policy.

You will also be looking at increasing your premiums on your home insurance due to the claim.

You’ll have one with all your insurance policies, apart from life insurance policies which do not carry an excess. Your insurer decides a compulsory excess amount when you take out your policy, but you can also choose to up and sometimes reduce your excess. Typically, the more excess you pay in the event of a claim, the smaller the amount you have to pay as a premium, so it’s all about finding the balance between your monthly costs and how much you can afford to pay if the worst happens.

No Excess fee cover ensures that you are back into the same position you were in prior to your loss.

That’s because we care. This is what makes Centrestone Jewellery Insurance, Australia’s premier jewellery insurance provider.
